Stumbled across this picture I took of a window display in a book shop in Rye. It's a terrible shame that more shopkeepers don't fill the shop windows with pictures of their pets sitting at artists easels or wearing tartan boaters. Of course it has nothing to do with what's actually sold in the shop. But it did catch my eye.

update on my old age

The test to see if, in my golden years, I could still like music that was grizzly and bang-y bought mixed results. Smashing Pumpkins first album is more or less unistenable according to my aged ears. But PJ Harvey is still a triumph. Oh, and I also still love Put Yourself In My Place by Kylie. I dunno what that means.
